Praise the Lord for Summer and a New Fall!!

Yes, I am still here dear readers!!  Everyone has certain months of the year that are the busiest for them.. and I would have to say that May through September are certainly my seasons as of right now.  I am sorry I have not been around, but that it is not to say that the Lord has not been showing me so many things!

I love summer, the gardens in full bloom and the blissful summer days of laying out on the deck with a good book and falling asleep because of how warm and comfortable you feel.  I love the bright colors of decorations in homes and the hazy smoke from a grill on comfortable August nights at a cook out.  I love the opportunity I have to visit the WILDS of NE and visit one night a week to listen to the new speaker of the week and be spiritually challenged to walk stronger in my Lord's path.  I love the warm sand of a private beach and the soft green grass of a field as you lay back after having a picnic on it.

But there is something to say about the fall as well.  That nip of cold in the temperature that causes you to pull on a fleece hoodie and bury your hands deep in the front pouch.  The crisp smell of Autumn wafting over the mountains and onto your front doorstep.  The sweet smell of cidar and apples filling the front hall after going and picking several bushels from a local orchard, the time for bonfires and devotions around the outside fire with a group of Christians just sets the scene.  And no, I'm not forgetting that I live in New England and one of our best attractions is indeed the change of color, the brilliant reds, burnt oranges, and spunky yellow that burst full and attractive from the trees certainly makes one look up to the Creator in awe of His handiwork.

He has blessed us with so much!!!  How humbling it is when I think that He chose each of us specifically to take care of His possessions on earth.  Whether these treasures\possessions are seen by the eyes, such as pets, equipment, your home.  Or treasures that He has gifted you with personally, such as encouragement towards others, inspiration, mercy, a servant's heart. I thank you Lord so much for your love towards us and your trust in us!!!

I will still be away from my blogging for a little while longer...I would covet your prayers however as things around here are a little physically and mentally exhausting right now.   Since August I have been volunteering at the WILDS of NE, I have a few weekends left and am already so challenged by some of the speakers I have been able to hear! If you have a chance to look at their fall brochure I've attached the link HERE
They are still accepting sign ups for these weekend retreats...trust me you will come back from these spiritually rejuvenating weekends and refreshed in the power of the Lord.

I hope all is well with my followers!
I'm praying for you all!
God Bless!
